SMALL TOWN STORY AT 54 BELOW

A musical about a musical that rocked a community.

Hailed as “a work of explosive power,” Brandon James Gwinn’s and my musical Small Town Story explores how two families in a North Texas town deal with a community controversy over a high school production of Rent. Combining modern Broadway pop and country roots, the exhilarating songs were performed by the acclaimed cast of American Theater Group’s recent World Premiere production at SOPAC. Experience all the feels and laughs of this timely yet timeless story about the power of theatre, the generational divide, and the potential of young people to change the world.

Stephen King’s It inspiration

Composer Jeff Thomson and I wrote a song inspired by Stephen King’s novel.

At its heart, IT is about the power of childhood imagination and the unbreakable bonds between friends and siblings.

I SWEAR:
The younger versions of the characters make their blood oath to return if It should come back, while the adult versions must decide to return to their hometown and their struggle.

LET IT TAKE YOU:
Twelve-year-old Bill guides his younger brother, Georgie, in making a paper boat. Georgie sees it as merely a piece of paper but Bill sees it as a world to explore.
