Small Town Story is about two families in a small Texas town dealing with the controversy over a high school production of Rent.
Caroline and Alex have been cast as the lesbian couple in Rent. During a tense rehearsal, Alex defends the town argument to perform a more “family friendly” show. Caroline scoffs, then sings. As the other students join in, Scott records the fun with his camera.
